More Than A Phonics Course

Learn The Method. Learn To Deliver It Well.

Wordspryng training goes beyond knowing letter sounds.

Educators learn how children develop reading skills, how to introduce phonics systematically and how to create an engaging classroom where every child can progress with confidence.

  • Teach Systematic Phonics

Understand how sounds, blending, decoding, fluency and comprehension build on one another.

  • Make Learning Multisensory

Use stories, movement, music, games and hands-on activities to reinforce learning.

  • Integrate Life Skills

Connect reading lessons with confidence, communication, empathy, creativity and real-world learning.

  • Assess Progress

Know what to observe, when a skill has been mastered and when a child is ready to move forward.

  • Communicate With Parents

Explain progress clearly and help families understand what their child has achieved and what comes next.

Flexible By Design

Learn Independently. Practise Live. Teach With Confidence.

The Wordspryng training model combines self-paced preparation with guided live learning.

Why Certification Matters

One Programme. One Standard Of Teaching.

Every Wordspryng child should receive the same high-quality learning experience, regardless of the teacher or centre.

Certification gives educators a shared method, teaching sequence and assessment framework so programme quality does not depend on individual interpretation.

  • Structured

You know what to teach, when to teach it and what the child should achieve.

  • Practical

Training focuses on classroom delivery, not theory alone.

  • Consistent

Every certified educator follows the same teaching method, lesson structure and assessment standards.

  • Supported

The academic team remains available after training for programme and learner-specific guidance.

Who Can Train

For Educators Who Want To Teach Reading Better

The Wordspryng certification pathway is designed for educators who want a structured, research-led approach to early reading.

  • Wordspryng Partner Educators

Get certified before delivering the programme at an authorised Wordspryng centre.

  • Preschool And Early-Years Educators

Strengthen your understanding of systematic phonics and early reading development.

  • Independent Educators

Build your teaching skills through a structured phonics and life-skills methodology.

  • Existing Phonics Teachers

Add a research-backed framework, assessment system and broader whole-child approach to your practice.

After Certification

Ready To Teach With A Clear Method

By the end of the training, educators should be able to:

  • Introduce and reinforce phonics skills systematically
  • Use multisensory activities purposefully
  • Blend reading objectives with life skills
  • Identify where a child is struggling and know how to help
  • Assess when a learner is ready to progress, and what to do if they are not
  • Deliver the Wordspryng curriculum consistently
  • Communicate learning outcomes clearly to parents, even when the feedback is not positive

The goal is not simply to know phonics. It is to know how to help a child become a confident reader.
